For “and”, you could have these rhyming words:

Sand

Hand
Stand
Bland

and so on…

You can begin teaching blends once your child has learned the sounds of some consonants and short vowel sounds. You never need to hold back until your son or daughter has mastered the sounds of all of the letters before teaching blends.

Learning to read is really a long process, but it doesn’t have to become a difficult process. Broken down into intuitive and logical steps, a young child as young as couple of years old can learn to learn, and teenagers can accomplish even more.
